Now because it’s getting close to Valentine's Day, I thought that I would go all out and treat myself to an hour at The Humber Spa and get a Shellac Manicure for only $30! Having said this, I have never really spoiled myself before, so treating myself to a manicure was a treat for me. I also haven’t been at The Humber Spa before and I was amazed by the service I received from the moment I walked in. The staff welcomed me to the Spa and showed me around the place. Once I sat down I was awed by all the available choices of nail polishes along the wall and the service that I received. The place was spotless and everyone was so friendly. They had gorgeous meditation music playing in the background along with dim lighting that was extremely relaxing. I knew before I sat down that I was going to get my money’s worth. Can I just say that I wasn’t wrong! I sometimes do my nails but when I do, I always just purchase nail polish from the Dollar Store and let me just say, I am definitely not a professional when it comes to painting nails. So having someone do it for me was quite nice for a change.

I thought when I booked my appointment that I would just sit down, get my nails painted and leave however, that wasn't the case. The staff at The Humber Spa, cleaned my nails with a variety of tools, sanded them down, applied a thin coat of polish, then applied 2 regular coats of a polish of my choice, a special gel coating as well as a sealer. They then placed my hands underneath a heater to seal the polish so that it would dry faster and stay on my fingers longer. The staff member had lots to talk about too so it wasn't awkward! We spoke about our programs and just about The Humber Spa in general. Other staff members came as well to talk to me as they kept complimenting me on my nails. By then I thought for sure I was done but I was wrong again. I then got my hands and arms massaged in this lovely cream afterwards so I left feeling so soft, fresh and clean. The staff member then helped me to put my jacket on and even carried my bags to the front entrance. How’s that for excellent service! Afterwards, they even offered me a discount at the end of my appointment and told me that they hoped to see me soon. All in all, I had an amazing time at The Humber Spa and plan to return fairly shortly.

So whether you want to go alone or hang with your BFF, I highly recommend attending The Humber Spa if you get the chance because just think about it, you see your hands hundreds of times a day. If they look good to you, you feel better about yourself - and whatever you’re doing. The average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps each day so in my opinion, you owe your feet a little pampering.
